"Don't underestimate the power of a glimpse of lingerie!"  The renowned (and award-winning) comic actor and author, Steve Martin, is behind this deceivingly simple yet wickedly satirical adaptation of Carl Sternheim’s 1910 cheeky farce. This comedy of errors is set around the turn of the last century, but feels timeless, dealing with social constraints and gender politics, bourgeois morality, and the ever-elusive phenomenon of 15-minutes of fame (or infamy).

The show you've all been antici......pating is finally BACK! You are cordially invited to a most unconventional convention, hosted by the one-and-only Oakdene Community Centre! The LIVE INTERACTIVE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW EXPERIENCE hits the main stage at 8pm on October 24th & 25th. This year marks the 50th year of this blazing, raucous fever dream, and we're making it extra special! 

Tickets for this electric extravaganza will provide you with a specialty prop bag, and allow you to experience the infamous & beloved musical phenomenon while singing & dancing along. So, come enjoy this legendary film the way it was intended: throwing toast, heckling Brad and Janet at the top of your lungs, Time Warping in the aisles, and joining in the cele.......bration! 

Lit-thru-Scripts is a NS curriculum-based, hybrid, summer writer's workshop that meets both online and in-person (3 in-person sessions at the beginning, middle, and end of the program; 8 total sessions). Workshop participants will explore how written & spoken language, combined with movement & timing (and sometimes a tiny budget), can create an immersive, "living" story. Feel more prepared & confident for the stage with this 3 hour workshop that covers basic stage makeup & wig fastening/basic wig styling, and emphasizes simple makeup techniques. While this session is aimed at performers of all genders, ages, and abilities, parents of rising theatre stars are encouraged to attend the workshop, as often they are not only the support team, but the makeup team, too. This Spring, movie fans are invited to an all-new, immersive sing-along experience at Kings Theatre in Annapolis Royal! Enjoy a night cap with the classic, feature-length film, and sing, dance & joke along with this smash-hit musical rom-com. Summer Nights, Greased Lightning, Hopelessly Devoted and We Go Together, are just a few of the melodies you can expect to make this night one you don't want to miss! There are worse things you could do, but tickets for this electric extravaganza will allow you to experience the classic musical comedy while singing (and heckling) along, and are available through the King’s box office. So, come enjoy this well-loved film the way it was intended: cheering & jeering the "teen" drama, singing along to Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee at the top of your lungs, and dancing to Born To Hand Jive in the aisles.
